Oliver the otter lives by a sparkling stream and keeps a small, round pebble with him wherever he goes. For him the stone holds his dearest memories: learning to swim, catching his first fish, and building a dam with his friend Mink. One day the pebble is gone from the rock where he always leaves it, and Oliver is heartbroken. Curious and quick, Mink offers to help him search.
Following tiny scratch marks in the mud, the two otters enter the water and swim downstream, checking under rocks and beneath a fallen log. The stream takes them farther than either has been before, past tall reeds and fern-covered banks, to a hidden pool ringed with moss. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about memory and friendship can be read on Masal İzle and suits young children at bedtime as well as early readers.
