In a bright, green wetland, a small beaver named Benny keeps busy chewing branches and patching his dam. One misty morning he meets Hazel, a tall heron with soft blue-grey feathers and thin legs like reeds, who stands patiently in the shallow water watching for fish. Though their habits differ, the two become friends and spend their days together, Benny chatting as he works and Hazel listening with a quiet smile.
When a big storm leaves a huge fallen tree across the stream, the pond begins to rise and the stream slows to a trickle. Benny chews and pushes with all his strength, but the tree is too thick; Hazel tries with her long beak, but it is too heavy. Realising neither can move it alone, they make a plan and work in turns, encouraging each other. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle and shows young readers how friendship and teamwork can solve problems that seem too big for one pair of hands.
