Henry is a boy who likes animals but feels uneasy around them, so his visit to an animal sanctuary with his notebook and green backpack is full of uncertainty. At the gate, keeper Maya in her green uniform introduces him to Greta, a plump grey-white goose with an orange beak and a blue band on her leg. When Greta stretches her neck and honks loudly, Henry jumps back and hides, sure the goose is angry with him.
Maya explains that honks can be greetings and that geese also speak through their bodies, and Henry writes each lesson down. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER follows Henry as he listens instead of assuming, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba. It offers a quiet way for parents and teachers to talk with young children about animals, observation and giving others space.
