Golden Wings

Ruby is a young fairy whose golden wings shine like sunlight in a village set among tall oak trees. Her friend Pip, a cheerful fairy with silvery-blue wings, always encourages her flights. When a fierce storm damages Ruby's wings and leaves her unable to fly, Pip stays beside her and suggests they seek help from Gran, the village elder.

Gran tells Ruby that flying takes patience and courage as much as wings, and speaks of a healing flower deep in the forest. Ruby must walk the long, difficult path without flying, with Pip alongside her. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale for young readers follows her slow, determined journey and the lessons she gathers along the way. It can be read on Online Masal.
