Shelly the sea turtle makes her home in a bright blue bay, spending her days among coral gardens and little fish. Once night falls, the ocean grows dark and quiet, and she begins to wonder about the secrets it keeps. Near a rocky cave she comes upon a small glowing crystal, which fastens to her shell and shines like a lighthouse through the dark water.
When a tiny fish named Pip calls for help, Shelly learns that her glowing shell can lead lost young creatures back home. Night after night she guides a baby seahorse, a lost crab, a tiny jellyfish and others to their families, even when her flippers ache and she longs to rest.
