The Troll's Cooking Contest

Trevor is a troll with tufty orange hair, a wide flat nose and two small blunt tusks, living in a cozy cave at the edge of a mossy forest. He dreams of becoming a famous chef and stirs imaginary pots every night. When a poster announces a big cooking contest, he signs up, encouraged by his friend Pip, a small hedgehog. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, the tale follows Trevor as he faces the contest and the doubts of Mara, the champion cook.

His first soup turns out too salty and bitter, and the judges cough and gasp. Rather than give up, Trevor practices daily with Pip, learns to measure ingredients, and seeks advice from Grandpa Bramble and other chefs, writing down their tips. This heartwarming story about perseverance, humility and learning from others can be read on Online Masal.
