Clara, a young stagehand at the old Grand Theater, is small and wiry, with a bandaged finger from a hammer mishap and a habit of exploring every corner of the building. Her curiosity leads her up the creaky attic stairs, where behind a stack of painted boards she finds a hidden door. Beyond it lies a cozy little room with its own tiny stage, velvet curtains and rows of seats, and on the stage sit three forgotten puppets: Pippa, a grey felt mouse in a red polka-dot dress who serves as announcer; Barnaby, a big brown plush bear in a purple vest with a mismatched button eye; and Marlow, a green velvet dragon with a sparkly scarf who insists she is the star. They tell Clara that children once loved their shows, but the theater closed and everyone forgot them, and they have been waiting ever since for someone to remember.

Clara decides to help them put on a show again, and the puppets prepare in their own ways. When Clara points out that the theater is closed, the puppets despair until she suggests inviting the neighborhood. Before the performance, Marlow worries that the audience will watch only her, and Pippa and Barnaby remind her that every act matters. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows the big day itself, as the attic fills with whispering children and smiling grown-ups. It is a story for young readers about friendship, cooperation and the courage to share credit, and it can be read on Online Masal.
