Lina sets out one bright morning with her tan satchel, a notebook, a pencil and her red sneakers, following the winding path behind Grandpa Amos's house because exploring is what she loves most. A small songbird with a pale blue chest and one white feather on its wing lands on her satchel strap; she calls him Pip, and he guides her through a gap in a mossy stone wall to a hidden oasis where palms with sky-blue leaves stand around a clear, still pool.

Lina sketches the blue trees, the sparkling water and the rabbits and turtle living there, yet a worry stays with her about what could happen if others found the place. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her as she works with the park ranger Mrs. Okafor and Grandpa Amos to care for the oasis, and young readers can enjoy it on Online Masal.
