In a small village of winding cobblestone paths and flower boxes, a sapphire bell hangs from an arched wooden frame in the square. Deep blue and carved with delicate swirls, it has a silver clapper that shines like moonlight. Eight-year-old Mira, with curly black hair in two puffs and freckles across her nose, passes by one morning with her leather satchel and magnifying glass, and the bell rings a happy, tinkling sound all by itself. Grandpa Sol, the village tinkerer, explains that it rings only when someone discovers something new.

Eager to hear it again, Mira gathers her friends Sam and Lila, and together they learn to begin with a question and then search for the answer. Curiosity spreads through the village, and soon grown-ups join in too. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this story of questions and small discoveries can be read on Online Masal, and it suits children beginning to explore how the world works along with the adults who encourage them.
