Theo lives in a town where the sky is always busy, with kites dancing, birds racing, and two playgrounds floating high on puffy clouds—one blue and one gold, too far apart to visit. Small and wiry, with curly black hair and a bright yellow t-shirt bearing a blue star, Theo often sits on his roof wishing he could find a way to bring the two playgrounds together. One sunny morning he discovers a strange ruler in his satchel, its edges shimmering with every color of the rainbow, and when he measures with it, tiny sparkles fall like glitter. A palm-sized sprite named Pip zips out of the ruler, explains that she guards it, and reveals that it can measure imaginary distances—anything you can dream up.
With Pip's guidance, Theo decides to build a bridge between the floating playgrounds. He turns to his grandfather, Grandpa Sol, for wood and tools, and the old man reminds him that measuring is the first step of building. Theo drafts plans, measures the gap, the height, and the width, but his best friend Mira points out that the bridge is too steep and later that the railing is too low. Each time, Theo returns to his notebook, measures again, and adjusts the design. This gentle children's tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows Theo as he discovers that careful planning, patience, and listening to friends make a design safer and stronger.
