In an enchanted forest where mushrooms glow like tiny lanterns, a little rabbit named Pip leads a curious life. One sunny day she encounters Fenn, a fox cub with russet-orange fur and amber eyes. Although an old rule says rabbits and foxes cannot be friends, the two decide to share berries and discover that friendship knows no boundaries. They meet daily by the berry bush, chase fireflies and explore mossy hollows, forming a bond that challenges the forest's long-held beliefs.
Not everyone approves. Bramble the hedgehog warns them that their friendship goes against tradition, but Pip and Fenn are determined to show that friendship is stronger than old rules. Old Owl, the wise elder, watches their growing bond and wonders whether the forest can learn something new. When a loud crack echoes through the trees, the two friends race to find the wooden bridge broken, cutting off access to the other side. This heartwarming tale by Jane MEADOW teaches children about friendship, teamwork and challenging outdated prejudices, and can be read on Kids Tale Book.
