High on a green hill, a palace with a tall bell tower is home to twelve-year-old Princess Clara, who hears the bells each morning without knowing why they ring. The old bellkeeper Thomas explains that every bell belongs to a village in the kingdom and sounds when that village needs help. Having only ever studied maps, Clara decides to visit the villages herself, and Queen Elara encourages her, noting that a map cannot show how people truly live. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her first journeys with her satchel and silver bell pendant.

In Willowbrook she helps villagers rebuild a broken bridge so children can reach school, and in Honeyfield she suggests planting flowers along the stream to bring the bees back after the meadow dried up. Clara records each visit in her little book. When a faint bell rings from Stonehill, she climbs through rain to a village with a dry well, where the people feel forgotten. The story can be read on Online Masal.
