Deep in the sparkling blue ocean swims a school of moonfish, so called for the soft glow their scales give off under a full moon. Among them is Lumi, a cheerful fish with pearly silver-blue scales and a crescent-shaped tail, who dreams up a grand plan: a parade on the night of the lunar eclipse, when the hidden moon will make their lights shine brighter than ever. Her friends join in, including Coral, who designs the formations, Finn, the strongest swimmer, and Pebble, the smallest of the school, whose enthusiasm is bigger than his clumsy fins.

For days the moonfish collect glowing seaweed, shimmering shells and pearls of light, rehearsing their dance until it is perfectly in sync. But on the night of the eclipse a strong current sweeps through the reef and scatters everything they have made. With their decorations gone and the dark water pulling at them, the friends must decide what to do next. This gentle underwater tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN shows young readers how teamwork, patience and encouragement can turn a disappointment into something memorable, and it can be read on Online Masal.
