In a high Andean valley covered with soft grass and colorful wildflowers, a little vicuña with golden-tan fleece and a creamy-white chest lives a quiet life. She wears a tiny woven band of red and yellow wool around her neck and loves to explore the meadow near her home, though she often plays alone. One windy afternoon, she notices a stranger at the edge of the valley: an Andean fox with rusty-orange fur and a bushy tail. He seems lonely and a little hungry, and he has no name. The vicuña offers him grass and calls him Fox, and they begin to talk. That night, when a cold wind blows, Fox tells her about a sheltered mountain meadow far away. At sunrise, the two set off together, crossing a stream, climbing over rocks and pushing through a windy pass, looking after each other at every step. This gentle story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL follows their journey and the friendship that grows between them. It can be read on Masal İzle and is suited to children beginning to read longer stories, as well as parents and teachers seeking a warm tale about trust, cooperation and caring for others.
