Leo pulls on his yellow rain boots and red hooded jacket, takes his notebook, and sets off for the nature reserve to watch real beavers. Ranger Maya brings him to a quiet pond, where a little beaver is hard at work hauling sticks and packing mud into a dam. As Leo sketches and jots down notes, he discovers how the dam slows the water and forms a wetland, and he begins to feel like a genuine scientist.

On later visits, Leo watches the wetland expand into a home for frogs, ducks, herons, and other creatures, and Ranger Maya explains how beavers act as nature's engineers, shaping an ecosystem where many living things depend on one another. Inspired by what he has seen, Leo builds his own model of the beaver wetland from cardboard, clay, sticks, and paper animals, then presents it at the visitor center. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle story can be read on Masal İzle.
