Maya loves spending time at Grandpa Leo's farm, and a new arrival gives her a reason to be excited: a small pony called Pepper, with a cream-colored coat, a chocolate-brown mane and a white star on his forehead. When Maya hurries toward him, Pepper steps back and flattens his ears, leaving her puzzled and a little hurt. Grandpa Leo then explains that horses do not speak with words but with their bodies, and Maya decides to learn this language. She takes out her notebook and starts a picture guide to Pepper's signals.

With Grandpa Leo's help, Maya reads Pepper's ears, tail and eyes, noting what each position suggests about how he feels. Her colorful guide becomes a practical tool as she practices approaching the pony slowly and respectfully, paying attention to the cues he gives her. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale shows young readers how animals express themselves and how patience and careful observation can build trust. The story can be read on Masal İzle.
