On a bright, sunny morning, Mia dresses in her blue denim overalls and straw sun hat, packs a notebook and pencil into her green canvas satchel, and heads to the meadow near her home. She enjoys watching the tiny harvest mice that live there, and today she hopes to observe them closely. Settling quietly in the tall grass, she notices a little harvest mouse no bigger than her thumb carrying a blade of dry grass for its nest, and she carefully records what she sees. Throughout the week she returns to watch the nest grow rounder and snugger.

One afternoon Mia hears a steady swish, swish, swish and sees the meadow keeper with his long scythe approaching to cut the tall grass. Realizing the mouse's nest is in danger, she runs to him and asks him to leave a strip of tall grass uncut. He listens and visits the nest with her. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about courage and kindness toward nature can be read on Masal İzle.
