Every morning, a young boy wearing a red bucket hat and bright yellow rain boots visits the pond near his home to observe the frogs. With his small notebook and pencil, he draws the frogs, counts them, and recognizes each one by its spots. Among them is a tiny green frog with golden eyes and a pale yellow belly that he calls Little Frog, shy but curious, often peeking out from behind a leaf while the boy sits very still by the water.
The boy's peaceful routine is disrupted when the pond turns cloudy and gray and trash begins to float near the edge. Fewer lily pads remain, and the frogs have fewer places to swim and hide. Troubled, the boy writes in his notebook that the pond is getting dirty and the frogs need help, then turns to his neighbor Mrs. Lee, a friendly and wise woman with silver hair and round glasses. Together they paint colorful signs telling people to keep the pond clean and take their trash home. This gentle story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, which can be read on Masal İzle, follows a child's patient observation turning into action.
