In a high mountain kingdom touched by enchantment, a little markhor with golden-tan fur and short curling horns wears a thin blue cord on one horn, a gift from his mother. Chasing a butterfly one day, he goes farther than he ever has and comes upon a hidden spring, where he meets a young snow leopard. The two are meant to be enemies, yet each recognizes kindness in the other, and they mark their new friendship with a small woven grass bracelet.

When the markhor shares news of his friend, the rabbits and marmots grow uneasy, until the Wise Old Ibex recalls how the spring's magic once joined every creature. Then a huge rock tumbles down and blocks the water, and the markhor turns to his friend and the whole community for help. A tiny mountain sprite shows them that the rock will yield only when all push, dig and pull as one. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale can be read on Masal İzle.
