In a wide golden desert, a little addax with a pale sandy-cream coat, a white belly and two thin spiraling horns lives near a quiet oasis. He likes to explore but never wanders far from home, and he is curious about a desert lark, a tiny bird with warm tan feathers and a small crest, hoping they might become friends.
One morning a big sandstorm comes and the timid addax cannot find shelter; the wind is too strong and he loses sight of the oasis in the swirling dust. Then he hears a tiny chirp: the lark is lost too and lands on his horn to rest. Realizing they can help each other, the lark flies high to look for a safe place while the addax walks through the wind. This story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle.
