Little Prairie Dog lives in a busy underground neighborhood, where he greets the sun each morning and checks on his neighbors. He carries a satchel of maps he has drawn himself, proud of knowing every twist and turn of the tunnels. One day, a burrowing owl moves in nearby. With her speckled feathers, long legs, and round blue spectacles, she seems shy and a little lost. Little Prairie Dog welcomes her warmly and offers a tour, but they soon discover that sharing the neighborhood is not as easy as it seems. The owl loves quiet corners for napping, while Little Prairie Dog loves to dash through the main tunnels, and their different habits cause small conflicts.
When the owl accidentally blocks a path with her cozy nest, they realize they need a better way to share. The owl suggests drawing a map together: he shows her the tunnels, and she shows him the cozy nooks. Working side by side, they create a map that helps everyone find their way. This tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle, where young readers follow how the two friends put their map to use when a sudden rainstorm floods the main tunnel.
