The Girl and the Rescue Sheep

In this gentle tale, readers meet Hannah, who spends her mornings at an animal sanctuary helping to feed and look after the sheep. Among the flock she notices Fluffy, a calm and shy sheep with creamy white wool and a blue collar carrying a tiny brass bell. Fluffy likes quiet time beneath the old oak tree, enjoys dandelion leaves, and is unsettled by loud noises, and over time Hannah and the sheep build a special bond.

When a new volunteer named Leo arrives, his noisy manner frightens the sheep and Fluffy hides away. Hannah draws on what she knows about Fluffy's needs to help the sheep feel calm again, then patiently shows Leo how to act around the animals. Written by Jane MEADOW, the story explores how each animal has its own personality and why kindness and patience matter in caring for them. Young animal lovers can read this tale on Kids Tale Book.
