In a bright meadow, a small mouse named Pippa lives in a snug burrow beneath a mossy log. Her honey-brown fur catches the morning light, and her amber eyes shine with curiosity. Each day she fills her woven grass satchel with berries and nuts and wanders out into a world of humming insects and swaying grasses.
On a hot afternoon, Pippa follows a winding path through tall ferns and finds one fern glistening white with frost. There she meets tiny insects with icy wings and silver antennae, whose leader Wisp explains that their frosty home never melts and that they need the cold to live. Pippa visits them daily with cool dew drops, until the summer heat grows stronger and the frost starts to thaw. This gentle story by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal, where young readers follow Pippa as she turns to her big brother Bramble for help.
