Deep in a vast forest where the treetops reach the sky, there lives Pip, a tiny flying squirrel with soft grey-brown fur, a cream-coloured belly and a little red scarf his grandmother knitted for him. He delights in gliding between branches, his wide flap spread out like a cape. One bright morning he meets Chip, a cheerful chipmunk new to the woods, wearing an acorn-cap hat and carrying a satchel woven from leaves. Pip leads him to the finest acorn tree, and all summer the two race through ferns, share berries and tell stories beneath the stars, sealing their friendship with a paw shake.
When a letter arrives asking Chip to visit his cousin before the autumn festival, Chip cannot go, since his satchel is full and the road is long. Pip offers to travel in his place and vows to bring the message back in time. His way passes the old oak and the bubbling brook, but as night falls a fierce wind shakes the trees and pushes him off course. Tired and frightened, Pip holds fast to his word and keeps going. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale of loyalty and determination can be read on Masal İzle.
