In the warm, squishy mudflats where the river meets the sea, a little mudskipper named Muddy spends his days skipping across the tidal flats. With glossy olive-green skin, golden periscope eyes and strong front fins, he is always ready for adventure. One sunny morning, he meets Snappy, a fiddler crab with a sandy-orange shell and one huge, bright claw. They quickly discover that their different talents fit together perfectly.
Their friendship is tested as they explore the twisting mangrove maze. When roots block their path, Snappy digs a tunnel; when a pool is too deep for a crab that cannot swim, Muddy carries him across on his back. Tired and lost in the dim trees, they rest in a hole Snappy digs and then squeeze through a gap into a hidden tidal garden. When the sky darkens and they cannot remember the way home, they rely on each other once more. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL teaches teamwork and patience, and can be read on Masal İzle.
