In Dragon Valley, where the sun shines warm and golden, dragons spend their days napping on hot rocks and swimming in steamy pools. Young Frostwing is different: his pale icy-blue scales shimmer in the shade, and he dreams of something cool and soft. His mother Ember watches him with worried golden eyes, while his grandmother Thaw understands what he longs for. Soon Frostwing sets off toward the north in search of the snow his heart desires.

His travels bring him to a mountain town buried in white, where children sled and build snow dragons. A girl named Pip in a red pompom hat welcomes him, and the townspeople offer cinnamon rolls and friendship. Frostwing helps the children sculpt a giant snow dragon with his frosty breath and learns to ice-skate, feeling at home for the first time. Yet at night he misses his mother's warm hug, and with Pip's help he sends a letter south. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale can be read on Online Masal.
