The Cosmic Clockmaker

In a cozy workshop at the edge of the stars, the Cosmic Clockmaker is a kind old man with floating white hair and a long blue coat. When clocks throughout the galaxy stop ticking, he packs his tool belt and flies off in his small rocket ship to set things right. He travels to planets of many colors, slowing pendulums that move too fast, tightening springs that move too slowly, and mending cuckoo clocks that sing out of tune. His gentle skill and round brass goggles guide him to a solution each time.

A strange signal brings him to a planet with two suns, where he meets Pip, a small creature with lavender skin and tufty orange hair, and Sun Seeker, the village elder. The villagers' clocks have all stopped because they were made for a single sun and cannot keep up with two suns rising and setting at different times. Cleaning and oiling do not help, so the Clockmaker decides he must invent something entirely new. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
