Prince Cedric lives in a bright castle on a green hill with his mother, Queen Elara. He often gives orders without listening, and the servants hurry to obey but show tired, sad faces. One morning, the queen gives him an old copper crown that belonged to his great-grandfather. The crown is dull and dented, and Cedric wonders if it will ever shine again.
When Cedric orders twelve pancakes, the copper turns green like old lettuce. Queen Elara explains that the crown loses its shine when he gives unfair orders or acts selfishly, and it will only brighten when he learns to listen and be fair. Cedric sets out to understand what that means. He meets Tomas the blacksmith, who cannot make armor overnight, and Mira, a servant girl who carries laundry from dawn until dark. By asking questions instead of shouting, Cedric begins to see how hard the people around him work. This children's tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows a small prince as he learns that good leadership starts with listening. The story offers a gentle lesson about fairness, kindness and respect for those who serve. You can read it on Online Masal.
