The Candle Keeper

Nine-year-old Theo lives in a small village where every garden holds a story. On a rainy afternoon, he finds a hidden door behind a bookshelf in his grandmother's attic and steps into a round room full of glowing candles, each one tied to a tale from the village. An old woman named Granny Willow explains that a candle shines whenever its story is remembered, and Theo agrees to become the new candle keeper.

By the next morning, three candles are flickering weakly, and Theo must act quickly. He visits the oldest villagers to gather the tales they still recall, then returns to whisper each one to its fading candle. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle story about listening and memory can be read on Online Masal and will appeal to young readers who love quiet adventures.
