Leo loves the beach above all else, and each Saturday he puts on his yellow rubber boots, takes his canvas satchel and heads to the tide pools with a pencil behind his ear. One morning at the water's edge he notices a small shore crab, no larger than his palm, with a mottled green-brown shell, eyes on stalks and one slightly chipped claw. The crab is shy but playful, freezing when Leo speaks and then darting under a rock, only to peek out again a minute later. Leo waits patiently, opens his notebook and starts writing down everything he observes.
As he watches, the pool becomes a tiny neighborhood: a sea star clings to a rock, a hermit crab drags its spiral shell home, and the shore crab feels the sand with its legs. Leo sketches each creature and records small details, and when a girl his age asks what he is doing, he explains he is making a guide for other children. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about curiosity, patience and respect for living things can be read on Masal İzle.
