The Turtle's Traveling Hat

Tilly the turtle lives beside a babbling brook at the edge of the woods and treasures her wide-brimmed straw hat with its faded blue ribbon. When Rosie the rabbit asks to borrow it for berry picking in the sunny patch, Tilly agrees and asks only that Rosie take good care of it.

So begins a chain of small adventures: the hat moves from Rosie to Bea the bird, who flies over the meadow with it, and then to shy Milo the mouse, who borrows its wide brim for courage while exploring a dark hollow log. Each friend returns it with an unexpected souvenir tucked inside, and when Milo finally brings the hat home, the friends gather for a picnic by the brook to share the stories behind every tiny treasure.
