The Train to Nowhere

Sophie discovers a strange train hidden behind the lost-luggage shed at her quiet station, its sign bearing a single word: NOWHERE. With a paper ticket in hand, she climbs aboard and meets a silver-haired conductor with a gold pocket watch, who explains that passengers rarely know the destination, though the train always arrives. In the first car she befriends Mira, a sturdy explorer in a khaki jacket, and Pip, a small fluffy creature with lavender hair and a patchwork vest who plays a silver whistle.

Riding through mist and fields, the travelers reach stops that seem to appear from nowhere, each revealing a place the world has forgotten. Over cups of cocoa they trade stories, and Sophie wonders how anyone knows when to get off. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows curiosity and friendship rather than a single destination, and it can be read on Online Masal. Its warm characters and softly mysterious setting suit young readers and adults reading aloud.
