Sophie, an eight-year-old girl living in a small cottage at the edge of a village, keeps a purple satchel filled with her treasures. On a bright morning she finds a worn leather book on Grandpa Aldo's dusty shelf, a spellbook of small things, and inside it the Little-Grow Charm that can enlarge any tiny object for a short time. Grandpa Aldo reminds her that magic is enjoyable but calls for careful decisions, and he suggests she begin with something small and harmless.
Sophie starts with a blue marble and then her yellow pencil, learning along the way that enlarged objects can be heavy and difficult to handle. Her curiosity keeps pulling her toward one more try, and when a garden snail crosses her path she casts the spell almost by accident. The snail grows to the size of a cottage and sets off toward the village square, where market stalls stand and a cart is stuck. Sophie must admit her mistake and, with Grandpa Aldo helping, search the spellbook for a way to set things right. This gentle story by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
