The Gift of Listening

Lily is a cheerful girl who likes to help her friends and always has a quick answer ready. She and her best friend Mia often share adventures under the big oak tree. One morning, Mia arrives quiet and sad, and Lily's fast fixes, from a friendship bracelet to cookies and tag, only make things worse.

Confused and a little hurt, Lily visits Grandma Rose, who explains that the best help is sometimes listening rather than a quick idea. In this gentle story by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN about empathy and friendship, Lily returns to Mia, apologizes for not listening, and sits beside her to ask how she feels. The tale can be read on Online Masal.
