The Sorcerer's Broken Wand

In Brookhollow, a village of misty green hills, lives Sorcerer Alden, a kind man with silver-white hair and a star-covered indigo robe. He mends nearly anything with a flick of his wand and takes quiet pride in it. When the old stone bridge cracks and the villagers need it for their apples and wool, Alden promises to repair it with one spell. But the wand slips, strikes the railing and breaks in two, and every spell he tries afterward fails.

Mara the carpenter offers him wood, nails and a hammer instead. Alden learns to saw, measure and sand, and a child named Pip invites him to plant seeds while Granny Hazel teaches him to knead dough. Through these small tasks he finds patience and the satisfaction of working with his own hands. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN explores humility and friendship, and can be read on Online Masal.
