In Bramblewick, the old bell tower stands silent through the day but rings thirteen times at sunset, and no one has ever seen who rings it. Villagers whisper about magic and hurry home. Clara, a young inventor with brass goggles and a red tool belt, doubts the stories, and with her sparrow Pip she sets out to find the real reason behind the thirteen rings.

Her search takes her past Mayor Hobbs, who warns against prying, and up the tower's dusty stairs, where she finds a machine of gears, a water wheel and a wooden fan rather than an enchantment. The cracked, wobbling device is slowly harming the tower, so Clara seeks out Master Ollen the carpenter and they plan the repairs together. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale of observation, tools and teamwork can be read on Online Masal.
