The Beaver's Big Idea

Benny the beaver lives in a snug lodge next to a bright forest river, where he spends his mornings watching ducks paddle and frogs leap between stones. Inspired by the life around him, he decides to construct the finest water playground in the forest, with long slides, winding tunnels and floating platforms that rock gently like lily pads. He sketches his ideas on a large leaf with charcoal and begins driving stakes into the mud, keen to start at once.

Building alone and without asking anyone, Benny soon discovers that the river is struggling. Mabel the otter finds her path blocked, two ducks cannot reach their nest, a fish family hides beneath a rock, and Grandpa Turtle cannot get past. With gentle guidance from Grandpa Turtle and suggestions from Pip the frog and Mabel, Benny redraws the plans and rebuilds with his friends. This warm animal tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, which can be read on Online Masal, gently explores listening, sharing space and considering the needs of others.
