In the village of Bellbrook, laughter has disappeared, and one morning Eliza realizes that even the baker's chuckle, the children's giggles, and the birds' songs are gone. She puts on her red boots and mustard cardigan, takes her brass whistle, and follows a trail of sparkling sounds toward the old concert hall, which glows with a soft light.

Inside, Eliza meets Mrs. Cadence and a tiny dormouse named Pip, who teach children to catch echoes in jars at the School of Lost Sounds. As Eliza learns to collect whispers and understand silence, she discovers that a creature has been taking the village's sounds. Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN's gentle story about listening and empathy can be read on Online Masal, where Eliza's patience and music lead her toward a shy figure named Maestro Hollow.
