The Puppy and the Kitten

Max, a lively puppy with golden-brown fur and a red collar, enjoys his days in a cozy house with a sunny garden. When a shy kitten named Luna arrives, Max is eager to make friends, but his loud barks and bouncy energy scare her into hiding under the sofa. Max feels sad and confused by her reaction.

Determined to connect, Max tries bringing his squeaky ball, but the noise only frightens Luna more. Realizing he must change his approach, Max begins lying quietly near her corner, giving her space and watching with soft eyes. Luna slowly starts to feel safer as Max practices being gentle. This heartwarming story by Jane MEADOW teaches patience and empathy, and can be read on Kids Tale Book.
