Pip the puffin lives on a high, windy cliff beside the wide blue sea. His most treasured possession is a small grey pebble with a soft pink streak, a gift from Grandma Puffin who found it on the beach long ago. When Pip holds it, he feels her warm feathery hug. The pebble is small, but it carries a very big memory inside it.
One breezy morning, Pip sets the pebble beside his nest while he tidies up, and a sudden gust of wind sends it rolling over the edge of the cliff. Distraught, Pip hurries down the rocky path, searching under tufts of grass and behind grey stones. At the bottom of the cliff he meets Tilly the guillemot, who offers to help. Together they search the rocky beach, the tide pools and the seaweed, and Pip learns that two pairs of eyes are better than one. Tired and discouraged, he is about to give up when Tilly encourages him to try just one more spot. This gentle tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
