In the heart of the forest, a cozy little shop with a crooked door and a round window draws curious visitors. Its keeper is Olive, a small round owl with huge amber eyes, tiny spectacles on her beak and a moss-green apron. She loves feathers but never plucks one from a bird; instead she gathers fallen leaves and paper scraps, cuts them into feather shapes, folds them gently and paints them in glowing colors. This tale by Çınar BİBER can be read on Masalcı Baba.

One sunny morning Pip the squirrel arrives with questions about where the feathers come from, and Olive shows him her leaf-and-paper method. News spreads, and soon Bramble the bear, Wren the songbird, rabbits, mice and a shy hedgehog visit the shop, each learning that art does not require taking from nature. When a young bird asks why she avoids real feathers, Olive explains that feathers belong to birds, while her crafts use only what the forest has already given.
