The Little Owl's Lantern

In the middle of a large green forest, where moonlight filters through the leaves like silver rain, there lives a small round owl named Ollie. His closest companion is Pip, a flying squirrel in a little red knitted scarf who carries a canvas satchel of star sketches and keeps a constant watch for danger. On a cool evening the two discover a brass lantern glowing beside a fallen log, and Ollie's curiosity draws them along an old forgotten stone path lit by its warm golden light.

The path leads to a domed building almost hidden by ivy, an abandoned observatory holding star charts, a large telescope and a book of star stories. While Ollie and Pip explore the constellations, a gust of wind slams the door shut, and the two friends must search for another way out. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about curiosity and caution in balance can be read on Masal İzle and is suited to picture-book and early-reader children.
