Down by a sparkling river, a little otter with glossy chestnut fur and a small teal work apron spends his mornings watching leaves and twigs drift past, dreaming of building something wonderful that can float. He gathers bark, twigs and reeds, carries them to a flat rock and begins his first boat, which wobbles, tips over and sinks with a soft plop. A second try with a leaf sail flips upside down, and he is not sure what to change.
Then a round water vole with a red knitted scarf and a tiny blue satchel of tools offers to help. With a wooden ruler and a ball of twine, the two friends find that a small stone tied beneath the boat keeps it steady, and they go on testing raft after raft, learning from every failure. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale of trial and error and teamwork can be read on Masal İzle.
