On a wide, sunlit savanna, a small hartebeest with short budding horns and a woven grass bracelet wonders what might lie past the tall, swaying grass. One morning he meets a slender mongoose with bright amber eyes and a seed-pod pendant, and the two quickly become friends. Together they set out to find an old, forgotten trail that starts behind the thorn bush.
Their walk leads through grass taller than the hartebeest's back, over smooth wobbly rocks, uphill beneath a hot sun, and along a winding path the mongoose follows by the smell of water. A loud rustle turns out to be only an old tortoise, and a wide stream is crossed with the mongoose riding on his friend's back. This gentle story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL shows how friendship and teamwork make hard things manageable, and it can be read on Masal İzle.
