The Little Beaver's Apprentice

Little Beaver lives in a snug lodge beside the pond and longs to make something truly wonderful. His chance comes when he meets Old Muskrat, who tends a small water garden in the shallows and invites the young beaver to become his apprentice. Equipped with a soft reed satchel and plenty of patience, Little Beaver starts to learn the craft step by step.

Under Old Muskrat's calm guidance, he discovers which reeds and water lilies to collect, how to press mud into low walls that hold the water, and how to dig a channel that lets the pond flow gently into the garden. His paws fumble at first, and his flat tail or a rush of water often undoes his efforts, yet his mentor never scolds, repeating instead that mistakes are how we learn. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL follows one young learner from clumsy beginnings toward quiet pride, and can be read on Masal İzle.
