Little Bear sets out on a sunny morning with his woven basket and sky-blue neckerchief, hoping to meet someone new to share a picnic with. Beneath a tall oak tree he finds Mouse, a tiny grey companion in a red scarf carrying an acorn-cap satchel. Honey cake is shared, favourite things are compared, and by afternoon the two are making plans for a woodland gathering with blankets, sandwiches, honey buns and berries. Little Bear pictures a perfect day for everyone, then begins to understand that a big picnic might feel overwhelming for a very small guest.

The next morning he packs treats of every size and rolls up both a large blanket and a small one. His simple, kind plan places a tiny blanket beside the big one like an island, with mini sandwiches and a little cup of berry juice within Mouse's reach. When a rabbit and a squirrel arrive, the meadow fills with chatter. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale can be read on Masal İzle and is suited to young children and to adults reading aloud.
