The Girl and the Little Reindeer

Lila lives in a small village at the edge of a great forest and loves to explore. On a crisp winter morning, dressed in her mustard yellow raincoat and teal rubber boots, she steps into the snow hoping to find something new. Behind a snow-covered bush she meets a little reindeer named Niko, no taller than her knee, with a red ribbon around his neck. Niko seems to ask her to follow, and so a journey begins that changes how Lila sees the natural world.

As she follows Niko, he shows her a clearing where green shoots appear through melting snow, then a wide meadow full of flowers, a shady autumn forest and a windy spring tundra. Lila understands that Niko moves with the seasons and starts mapping his migration route with colored pencils, giving each place its own color.
