On a bright Saturday morning, Maya arrives at a farm sanctuary for the first time, wearing her yellow rain boots and green ribbons in her curly black hair. Caretaker Rosa welcomes her and introduces the animals, including Pip, a small pink pig with a blue harness and a tiny brass bell. Rosa explains that Pip was rescued the previous spring and that pigs are smart and curious. When Maya kneels, Pip sniffs her hand, his curly tail wiggling with interest.
With help from Sam, a caretaker who builds things in the tool shed, Maya creates toys for Pip. They make a treat puzzle from a plastic bottle filled with apple slices and pig pellets, and Pip quickly learns to roll it so the treats tumble out. A beach ball becomes a game of pig soccer, and Maya hides carrot pieces around the pen for Pip to find. A hanging rope toy with a bell lets Pip make his own music. Through these games, Maya sees how Pip solves problems and shows feelings of his own. This gentle story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle and offers a warm starting point for conversations about animal welfare, empathy, and curiosity.
