Maya visits Nana Rosa's rescue centre in her yellow t-shirt and green canvas apron, carrying craft sticks. In a sunny room she meets Pip, a small parrot with emerald feathers, a scarlet tail and a white bandage on one wing. Nana Rosa tells her the parrot was rescued and needs a safe home, and that these clever birds need interesting things to do or they become bored.
Seeing Pip hop between his food bowl and the same perch, Maya decides to help. She makes a cardboard foraging box with a hole in the lid and hides a piece of apple inside, then adds a bead puzzle on a string, a shell game with three cups, a seed-filled paper tube, a swinging ring and a little bell Pip rings when he wants company. When Pip grows quiet, Nana Rosa says he is tired of the same games, so Maya invents a new one with a pinecone, a smooth stone and a crumpled paper ball. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about trust and daily play can be read on Masal İzle.
