Maya lives in a small blue house by the harbor, where she enjoys watching boats and birds. A large black cormorant on a flat gray rock catches her attention, and she becomes curious about why it spreads its wings wide. She asks the fisherman, the ice cream lady, and even the seagulls, but none of them can explain it. Determined to find out, Maya takes her sketchbook and observes the bird closely, noting its dives and the way it spreads its wings.

With help from her grandpa Tom and a friendly guide named Priya, Maya learns the reason behind the cormorant's behavior. Fascinated by what she discovers, she decides to share it with others by creating a display of drawings and facts, which Grandpa Tom helps her set up near the harbor path. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle story about curiosity and observation can be read on Masal İzle.
